Double-sided gingerbread mould. Obverse: Madonna and Child with a crown, in a long patterned dress, surrounded by a double oval inner frame forming tongues of flame and an outer laurel-wreath frame. Reverse: two standing figures a bachelor and a lady in richly decorated court costumes of the 17th–18th centuries — the man with a long wig, justaucorps, culottes and stockings; the woman with a wig, long dress with a neckline, bottom decorated with a plant tendril. Applied art; decorative art; religious motifs and symbols; plant ornaments. Gingerbread mould, rectangular form. 18th–19th century. Province of Silesia 1742–1918. Height 20.3 cm, width 10 cm, depth 3.5 cm., A rectangular wooden panel with a carved oval relief in the center depicting a standing figure holding a smaller figure, both rendered in low-relief with flowing drapery and detailed facial and hair features; the oval is surrounded by a decorative wreath-like border with leaf and petal motifs and a carved rosette on one side; the left edge of the panel shows rough, darkened, heavily textured decay while the remainder of the wood surface is smoother with visible grain and worn areas; colors visible include various shades of brown in the wood, darker brown in the carved and decayed sections, and a neutral gray background.
