Double-sided gingerbread mould. Obverse: figure of a lady with a fan; Reverse: figure of a man with a pipe. Folk-style decorations, figurative scenes; hats headgear, male and female figures, pipes, feathers element of clothing. Double-sided rectangular form: one side shows a female figure with headgear decorated with four large feathers, wearing a warm outer fur-lined coat over a richly decorated dress with a neckline, holding a fan, with floral and plant ornament at the bottom; reverse shows a man with a mustache in a hat with a feather, wearing a long fur-lined coat over a patterned shirt, holding a long pipe, with similar floral and plant ornament at the bottom. Gingerbread mould, applied/decorative art; 18th–19th century, Province of Silesia 1742–1918. Height 50.5 cm; width 19.2 cm; depth 4.5 cm., A vertical rectangular block with a dark brown surface showing scratches and worn edges suspended against a smooth light gray background, with subtle variations of gray and faint shadows surrounding the block.
