Double-sided gingerbread mould. Rectangular wooden form with carved images on each side: one side shows a lion with an abundant mane standing on a base decorated with plant-twig ornament, holding a ball engraved with the date 1829 and a mark of an anchor intertwined with the letter S; floral and plant decoration at the bottom. Reverse shows a cavalier on horseback in early 19th-century riding attire jacket, breeches, top hat, holding a riding crop; a round shield at the horse's front legs is engraved 1831 and bears the same anchor-and-S mark woodcarver's or owner's mark; floral and plant ornament at the bottom. Materials/genre: applied art; gingerbread mould. Iconography: rider on a horse, lion, animal and plant motifs; figurative scenes; historical costumes. Date inscriptions: 1829 and 1831. Region: Silesia Province of Silesia, Prussia, 1742–1918. Dimensions: height 25.8 cm, width 19.4 cm, depth 4.3 cm., A vertical rectangular wooden plank with worn edges and visible scratches and cracks, shown against a smooth neutral background; the plank is various shades of brown with darker brown grain lines and lighter worn spots, and the background is a soft gray.
