Obverse: image of a rider on horseback in early 19th-century riding attire jacket, breeches, top hat, holding a riding crop; at the horse’s front legs a round shield engraved “1831” and marked with an anchor intertwined with the letter “S” woodcarver’s or owner’s mark; floral and plant ornament at the bottom. Reverse: stylised lion with abundant mane standing on a base decorated with plant-twig ornament, holding a ball engraved “1829” and the same anchor-and-“S” mark; floral and plant decoration at the bottom. Figurative scenes, lions, horse iconography; applied art, gingerbread mould; Silesia, early 19th century 1829–1831., A carved rectangular wooden panel in brown tones shows a relief of a mounted figure wearing a top hat and coat, seated on a horse with decorative harness and patterned saddle; the rider holds a long staff or rein and has curly hair and a smiling facial expression; the horse stands on a carved base with floral and ornamental motifs and a round medallion-like element, and the panel surface shows scratches, wear, and variations of light and dark brown.
