Double-sided gingerbread mould. Rectangular form, height 25.8 cm, width 19.4 cm, depth 4.3 cm. Obverse: image of a rider — figure of a cavalier on horseback in early 19th-century riding attire jacket, breeches, top hat, holding a riding crop; at the horse’s front legs a round shield engraved “1831” and a mark showing an anchor intertwined with the letter “S”; bottom decorated with floral and plant ornament. Reverse: stylised lion with abundant mane standing on a base decorated with plant-twig ornament, holding a ball engraved “1829” and the same anchor-with-S mark; bottom with floral and plant decoration. Materials/technique: carved mould for gingerbread applied art. Iconography: rider on a horse, lions, plant motifs; historical costumes. Place/date attribution: Silesia, Province of Silesia 1742–1918; dates on images 1829 and 1831., A carved wooden panel shows a stylized animal with a large mane and a curled tail, rendered in relief against a plain wooden background; the carving includes flowing, wavy lines for the mane, a rounded head with a pronounced snout and visible eye, a raised decorative collar, and a textured base with carved floral and geometric motifs; the wood tones are warm brown with variations and darker carved recesses, and the background shows lighter brown areas and subtle scratches.
