Double-sided gingerbread mould. Rectangular shape, height 25.8 cm, width 19.4 cm, depth 4.3 cm. Obverse: image of a lion with an abundant mane standing on a base decorated with plant-twig ornament, holding a ball engraved with the date 1829 and a symbol of an anchor intertwined with the letter S; floral and plant decoration at the bottom. Reverse: figure of a rider on horseback in early 19th-century riding attire jacket, breeches, top hat, holding a riding crop; at the horse's front legs a round shield engraved 1831 and the same anchor-with-S mark woodcarver or owner mark; floral and plant ornament at the bottom. Materials/type: gingerbread mould, applied art; iconography: figurative scenes, lions, horse, historical costumes, plant motifs. Place/period: Silesia Province of Silesia, 1742–1918., A rectangular wooden panel with a carved relief of a person seated on a horse, both rendered in raised shallow carving; the person wears a tall hat and a coat with visible button-like indentations and has stylized facial features and hair; the horse shows a decorated mane and a bridle, and both figures rest on a carved base with floral and patterned motifs including a circular medallion-like element; the panel surface shows visible scratches and worn areas and the overall colors visible are brown tones with lighter and darker variations and some areas of greyish-brown.
