Obverse: female figure in a long, patterned, richly decorated dress, wearing a hat decorated with an egretta; reverse: male figure with a fur hat, dressed in a fur-lined coat over an embroidered shirt, holding a long pipe; plant decoration at the bottom of both figures. Woodcarving, folk-style decorations; applied/decorative art; gingerbread moulds; female and male figures; historical costumes; water pipes. Double-sided rectangular mould. 18th–19th century. Province of Silesia 1742–1918. Height 19 cm, width 9 cm, depth 3.3 cm., A rectangular wooden block with a carved relief of a standing human figure occupying most of its length, the wood showing medium to dark brown tones with lighter worn areas; the carved figure has textured hair and clothing details, a headdress, a long dress with patterned horizontal bands and fringed hem, hands positioned near the waist holding a small cluster of rounded shapes, and a shallow rectangular base beneath the figure; the background around the carving is smooth wood with scratches and small scuffs, and the overall image includes a neutral gray backdrop.
