Materials: gingerbread mould. Date: 17th century or early 18th century; also associated with 18th–19th century. Region: Silesia Province of Silesia, 1742–1918. Dimensions: height 50 cm, width 18 cm, depth 4.2 cm., A tall vertical wooden panel carved in a warm brown tone shows a full-length figure of a person in period dress with long curly hair and a wide brimmed hat, hands held at the waist holding rectangular objects, and a long coat with decorative carved patterns; the lower portion of the panel features carved legs and shoes above a carved ground with floral and foliate motifs and a small animal figure; the wood surface has many small round holes and areas of darker and lighter brown variation, with carved lines and textured details creating depth against a neutral gray background.
