Double-sided gingerbread mould. Obverse: Adam and Eve in paradise—naked figures standing under the Tree of Knowledge with a snake wrapped around it; below, plant and floral motifs. Reverse: a baby in swaddling clothes decorated with a plant ornament. Folk-style decorative/figurative motifs; religious iconography Adam and Eve, snake/sin, plant motifs. Applied/decorative art, gingerbread mould. Rectangular form; height 22.2 cm, width 10.5 cm, depth 3.3 cm. 18th–19th century, Province of Silesia 1742–1918., A rectangular wooden board with a carved relief depicting a stylized tree with broad, patterned branches and a textured trunk, flanked by a pair of standing human figures carved in shallow relief, each with long hair and elongated bodies; the base shows carved foliage and flower motifs and a patterned ground line. The board is light to medium brown with darker brown carved recesses and a few darker streaks and marks in the wood, set against a plain gray background.
