Double-sided gingerbread mould. Rectangular shape; obverse: man in 18th-century attire tricorn hat, justaucorps, culottes, long boots sitting on a goat, carved inscription at bottom: EIN SCHÖNER BOCK EIN GUTER / PFERD IST EINER GN ... DIE ZIGE WERT; complemented by plant and floral ornament. Reverse: Adam and Eve in Paradise wearing leaf loincloths, Tree of Knowledge with coiled serpent; at top a bearded figure holding an orb probably God against a heavenly vault with sun, moon and stars; animals around Adam and Eve include a cat, a deer, a bird, a cow, and a squirrel; composition surrounded by a round decorative frame with a plant twig. Materials/genre: gingerbread mould; style: folk-style decorations, floral and plant motifs, historical costumes, religious iconography original sin. Date: 18th–19th century. Place: Silesia Province 1742–1918. Dimensions: height 21.4 cm, width 24 cm, depth 3.7 cm., A rectangular wooden panel carved with a circular medallion containing decorative relief work; the wood is various shades of brown with darker carved recesses and lighter worn surfaces. Inside the circular design, a carved tree with many rounded leaves stands at the center, flanked by two standing humanlike figures with simple garments and short hair, each holding onto branches or foliage. Surrounding the tree are carved animals and creatures, including a reclining animal, a horned head, and a few small beasts tucked among leaves. Above the tree are celestial motifs, a sun with rays and a crescent moon with small star shapes, and a face or mask partially integrated into the upper carving. The circular border is decorated with a repeating leaf or laurel pattern and rounded bosses at lateral points. The panel shows tool marks, small holes, and areas of wear and darker patina, with a chipped corner and minor surface cracks along the edges. The visible colors are brown in several tones, with subtle variations where the surface is worn or polished.
