Double-sided gingerbread mould. Obverse: baptism scene; reverse: floral ornament. Genre scenes, gingerbread moulds, folk-style decorations, baptisms, floral motifs, plant motifs, applied art, decorative art, gingerbread, figurative scenes, historical costumes. Double-sided rectangular mould: on one side a genre scene depicting a baptism — a group of figures in 17th–18th century costumes; in the centre a bearded man, probably a priest or pastor, holding a child over a baptismal font, next to him three women in long patterned dresses. The whole group is surrounded by an arched window decorated with rich geometric and plant ornament. On the other side a large leaf-shaped ornament containing interwoven floral and plant motifs. 18th–19th century, Province of Silesia 1742–1918. Form: height 26 cm, width 14.5 cm, depth 2.7 cm., A vertical, narrow wooden plank with a worn, weathered surface and rounded top and bottom edges is shown against a solid light gray background; the wood has a range of brown tones from dark to medium with lighter patches, small holes and dents, and areas of rough texture, and a hint of darker streaking along one side.
