Kontusz belt, Polish kontusz belt men's clothing accessory, national costume from 18th-century Poland, associated with Szydlów Swietokrzyskie Voivodeship. Smooth heads; narrow, smooth two-tone stripes; edge made of a wide smooth belt. Silk fringe, partially braided. Colors: crimson, blue, and white. Dimensions: length 300 cm, width 47 cm., A woven textile shown in two vertical panels with a background surface, each panel primarily beige with subtle horizontal stripe texture, bordered on one side by a pale blue stripe and on the other by a very light blue or off-white stripe; the lower portions of both panels have a wider pale beige or cream band. The bottom edges have a knotted fringe with twisted tassels in a mix of beige and pale blue threads, and some fraying and small holes appear along the fabric edges. The overall colors visible are beige, pale blue, off-white, and hints of light tan on a light neutral background.
