Women's ankle boots made of graphite full-grain leather with red leather uppers tied on the outside and inside with a red ribbon. Thin, symmetrical leather soles with bevelled toes and no heels. Canvas lining, white leather endpapers. On the endpaper there is an oval company label: Berlin / 23 Jäger str / Fabrique de chassures / pour les Dames / Berlin / 23 Jäger str / Damen / Schuh-fabrik von / CP Schröder. The upper part is machine-sewn, the lining is hand-sewn. Circa 1850, Berlin. Footwear, women's ankle boots; height 10 cm, width 5.5 cm, length 25.5 cm., A pair of small worn shoes displayed side by side on a plain light gray surface, each shoe showing a dark brown lower portion with visible creasing and scuffed areas, and a deep red upper section with frayed fabric bows at the sides; the shoes have rounded toes and low profiles, and the visible colors include dark brown, deep red, light brown on the soles, and the surrounding light gray background.
