Four-sided belt decorated with heads with two bota palmettes in a symmetrical, mirror-like arrangement filled with fine ornament. Stripes with a pattern of small floral projections resembling pansies, alternating with smooth shelves; borders of plant tendrils. Colors — right side: golden brown, plum background, and silver, blue, and green ornament; left side: green brown and sapphire background, and gold, green, and plum ornament. Right side: background of the heads, the border, and every other shelf are gold, with silver, blue, green, magenta, yellow, and brown ornament; remaining shelves half brown and half magenta. Left side: background of the heads, the edges, and the shelf are brown; remaining shelves half purple, half green; gold ornament as on the right. Gold fringe sewn on. 2nd half of the 19th century, Poland, Moravia ; clothing accessory. Length 344 cm; width 30.5 cm., Two long vertical textile panels hang side by side against a pale background; each panel has a patterned border and a fringe at the bottom in a golden yellow color. The left panel features alternating horizontal bands in dark brown and magenta separated by yellow bands with small floral motifs, and a lower rectangular section with an intricate paisley-like motif in pale yellow, white, pink, green, and blue set against a yellow ground. The right panel shows alternating horizontal bands in maroon, lavender, and mint green separated by maroon bands with floral motifs, and a lower rectangular section with a large ornate paisley-like motif in maroon, gold, pink, and green on a maroon ground. Both panels include gold-colored decorative stitching and floral adornments along their borders.
