Flat women's slippers of white satin with top edge finished with ribbon. Flat-cut toes, symmetrical leather soles. Endpaper and back lining of white leather; front lining of canvas. On the endpaper of both slippers there is an octagonal, oblong company label: Jan Kólazenski / in Kalisz / at Market Square No. 18. Maker: Jan Kólazenski Kalisz; shoemaker's workshop, ca. 1830–1850. Type: women's footwear; height 6 cm, length 23.7 cm., A pair of soft, worn slip-on shoes made of light-colored fabric sit side by side on a smooth gray background; the shoes show creases and areas of darker discoloration, with visible stitching along the edges and slightly uneven, flattened soles. The visible colors are shades of off-white, beige, cream, light tan, and gray.
