Women’s slippers, maker: Johann Dyck Vilnius; shoemaker’s workshop; ca. 1800–ca. 1850. Flat women’s slippers made of white full-grain leather with flat-cut toes, decorated with a rosette of white grosgrain ribbon one rosette preserved. Symmetrical leather soles. White canvas lining and endpaper. A printed company label is glued onto the endpaper of one slipper: “Johann / Dyck / …auf der / Schloss-strase / nr … in / VILNIUS.” 1st half of the 19th century 19th century, place of origin: Vilnius. Footwear, clothing; height 6 cm, length 24 cm., A pair of flat, slip-on shoes made of a light-colored material, shown side by side on a neutral background; the shoes are pale cream to off-white with visible wear and small dark spots, fraying at the inner edges, and slightly darker, beige interior linings; one shoe has a decorative element near the opening made of layered, petal-like pieces in similar pale tones, and the soles appear thin with a slightly darker brown edge.
