At the bottom of one of the heads, a preserved signature: BAREZ. 2nd half of the 18th century, Barysh Ukraine — national costume, clothing accessory. Length 297 cm, width 34.5 cm., A rectangular woven textile with a pale yellow background and a narrow dark brown border, decorated with a symmetrical repeating floral design in muted pink, olive green, gray, and brown. Two large vertical medallions run side by side, each framed by scalloped gray bands and filled with stylized flowers including rounded blossoms, elongated leaves, and layered central blooms in pink and brown with olive green foliage. A narrow decorative band with curving olive green ribbon motifs and small floral clusters in pink and gray runs along the top and bottom edges, and slender floral vine borders appear along the sides. The fabric shows subtle horizontal weave texture and slight variations in the pale yellow ground.
