Kontusz sash, semi-solid sash with flower bushes ornament, four-sided sash with plant ornaments, Polish sash used in national costume, men's clothing accessory. Bipartite heads with a motif of a stylised flower tree growing from a miniature mound: on one side a white and brown background with brown heads, on the other blue and crimson and gold heads. The pattern on the gold heads is multicolored, and on the brown heads is off-white. Signed at the bottom of the heads, lying down, FS. 18th century, Lyon. Length 294 cm, width 30 cm., A rectangular woven textile with a muted beige background featuring a repeating floral motif in pastel colors; a pair of vertical floral sprays with stylized blossoms in pale pink and blue, leaves in light green, and outlining in brown sit side by side within a bordered field, accompanied by smaller floral clusters above; a decorative inner border with flowing vine shapes and small flowers in blue, pink, and green surrounds the central area, and a narrow outer border with a repeating floral vine frames the piece; the top section shows a horizontal band with color blocks in muted blue and pale pink adjacent to the patterned border, and the bottom edge finishes with a fringe in natural beige.
