Materials: silk, gilded silver thread; fringe sewn-on yellow silk with some gold threads. Description: solid, double-sided men's belt used as clothing/fashion accessory in Polish national costume. Ornament: three bush motifs each with tulip flowers as heads; center with transverse shelves alternating with leafy tendrils, palmettes, and projections of rosettes; border with a floral tendril motif. Patterns arranged in wavy snake or diagonal stripes. Colors: right side background white with gold ornament. Possible places of origin: Grodno, Italy, France, Grand Duchy of Lithuania, Poland., The image shows a pair of long, narrow woven textiles placed side by side against a light gray background; both pieces are predominantly pale gold and beige with subtle woven patterns creating vertical stripes and floral motifs, each ending in a fringe of darker golden threads; the left textile has a repeating leaf-like motif near its lower edge and a more uniform striped weave throughout, while the right textile displays a similar overall pattern but with visible areas of wear and slightly darker discoloration along its central length; both have ornate woven borders in a matching gold tone.
