Bottom edge: a basket of flowers with a long floral tendril. Pastel colors. Trimmed with gold lace. Cotton lining. Lined with thick canvas. Made of cream silk grosgrain, lined with linen canvas. Embroidery in silk thread and metal-braid thread in shaded chain stitch. Edges trimmed with bobbin lace. 18th century, Poland. Liturgical vestment. Dimensions: length 113 cm, width 69 cm back., An off-white textile garment with a pointed top and rounded bottom is displayed flat against a pale gray background; it features a central embroidered scene of a reclining lamb in muted brown and gray tones resting on a small cushion set atop a stylized cloud in soft gray, with a row of small round tassel-like elements in warm pink and blue beneath the cushion; surrounding the central motif is a decorative border of metallic gold trim and a flowing garland of embroidered flowers and leaves in colors including pink, green, blue, yellow, and pale purple; additional floral motifs in similar colors appear near the shoulder area and along the sides, and the garment edges show a light cream satin facing.
