Bipartite heads with flower-bush motifs; carp-scale pattern continues. Edge with motif of small flower-sprig tendrils. Colorful silk fringe, sewn on. Colors: gold, brown, silver, and blue. Signed at the bottom of the heads: FS lying. 2nd half 18th century. Possibly Slutsk, Grand Duchy of Lithuania 1569–1795 / Poland. National costume accessory. Length 356.5 cm, width 28.5 cm., A woven textile with a patchwork layout showing a few vertical panels and a group of rectangular sections, featuring floral and scallop motifs; the left side has darker brown floral patterns on a beige background with a narrow border of small repeating floral elements, the right side shows similar floral motifs in blue on a beige ground with a vertical blue vine-like border, the top right contains a scalloped pattern in pink on beige, and the top left has a scalloped pattern in brown on beige; the fabric shows areas of wear and fraying with loose threads and a fringe at the bottom displaying mixed colors including red, blue, and beige.
