Chasuble, liturgical vestments, Anthony of Padua St.; 1195–1231 — iconography, plant ornaments, church paraments, sacred art, churches and chapels furnishings. Column at the back of the chasuble: at the top in an oval embroidered, kneeling St. Anthony, below branches of apple blossoms and fruit. Column at the front: branches with apple blossoms and fruit. Sides: ornament with stylized plant twigs. The whole is trimmed with white lace from the period. Predominant colors: white for the columns, red for the sides, and yellow, pink, blue, and white for the ornament. Cotton lining. 17th century, Poland; liturgical vestment; length 95 cm, width 60 cm back., A garment panel with a central vertical panel framed by a wider border, showing a silk fabric in beige and deep red with decorative embroidery and lace trim; the central panel features floral embroidery with branches and flowers in green, pink, yellow, blue, and brown on a beige ground, while the surrounding areas are deep red with cream lace and scrolling floral embroidery in cream and beige; the interior backing appears beige, and the overall piece rests against a pale gray or off-white background.
