Chasuble, Liturgical vestment made of three types of silk fabrics, trimmed with yellow silk braid; cotton lining green on the front, navy blue on the back. Front features an embroidered column of white silk grosgrain embroidered with silk threads in patterns of small floral sprigs; three sprigs placed sparsely, likely cut from another piece and added. Back column and neckline made of silk weft-weave fabric brocaded with silk yarn and silver thread in a striped pattern with a wavy floral tendril and small floral sprigs. Sides made of cream-colored striped silk fabric. Decorated with flowers, leaves, and plant ornaments. 2nd half of the 18th century. Place of origin: Poland; back: France. Length 98.5 cm, width 68 cm., A flat garment displayed against a pale background, made of a shiny cream fabric with a central vertical panel bordered by narrow golden-yellow trim and decorated with a delicate vertical vine of embroidered small flowers and leaves in muted green and pale brown tones; the sides of the garment are broader cream panels with subtle vertical ribbing, and the neckline is a shallow V outlined with the same golden-yellow trim, the hem rounded at the bottom and also finished with golden-yellow edging.
