Chasuble, Chasuble made of woolen canvas embroidered with patterns of large, fantastic, diverse flowers on a common stem. Embroidery colors: green, blue, yellow, brown, red. Trimmed with yellow silk braid. Cotton lining. 18th century, Silesia. Liturgical vestment. Length 106 cm, width 65.5 cm., A garment laid flat against a pale background, made of a light tan or beige base fabric with a decorative front panel featuring embroidered floral motifs. The central area and side panels show a range of colorful embroidered flowers and leaves in shades of blue, red, pink, yellow, green, and touches of cream, framed by yellow trim. The embroidery includes stylized blooms with layered petals and curved stems, surrounded by leafy shapes and small rounded floral elements. The shoulder and neckline areas have matching embroidered sections with similar color palette and yellow edging. The overall shape tapers toward the waist and flares slightly toward the hem, with the lower edge following the garment’s rounded outline. The texture appears soft and slightly wrinkled in places, and the embroidery thread has a subtle sheen against the matt base fabric.
