Chasuble, Chasuble made of two types of lace fabrics: the front and sides of the back are a silver-colored fabric embellished with a pattern of large plant motifs. The column on the back is satin, straw fabric embellished with colored silk motifs, large fantastic flowers and leaves growing from a small basket. The columns are trimmed with silver lace. The edges of the chasuble are trimmed with wide silver lace. Red silk lining. Liturgical vestment; churches and chapels furnishings; sacred art; liturgical vestments; flowers and plant ornaments; church paraments. Measurements: length 106.5 cm; width 66 cm back; report height 66 cm; columns: height 30 cm width unknown. Date: 1st quarter of the 18th century front and sides of the back: 1720–25; column on the back: ca. 1715. Place of origin: France., A textile panel with a tall, narrow shape and a pointed top, displaying an ornate symmetrical floral pattern; the center panel features a repeating stylized flower motif with layered petals and large paired leaves, framed by decorative borders with scalloped trim; the side panels show intricate leafy and floral designs woven into a textured ground; colors visible include pale gold, soft pink, light green, cream, silver, and hints of muted red, with metallic threads adding a shimmering effect.
