A so-called Saxon lace belt, creator unknown, lace belt for men's clothing, clothing accessory; central continuous belt with a geometric ornament including a circle containing an hourglass; side belts of similar width permanently connected; entire belt trimmed with fringe; 17th–18th century, Poland; lace; height 270 cm, width 25 cm., A close-up view of a textile featuring a repeating openwork pattern in beige and gray tones, with a top band of decorative embroidered motifs set against a gray background, a middle section of a netlike lattice, and a lower fringe of loose threads; the embroidery shows several circular and diamond-shaped stitched elements in beige, the net section displays a repeating diamond mesh also in beige over gray, and the bottom fringe consists of a group of hanging beige threads.
