So-called Saxon lace belt; maker, lace belt for men's clothing; 17th–18th century, Poland. Central continuous belt with geometric ornament including a circle containing an hourglass; side belts of similar width permanently connected; entire belt trimmed with fringe. Materials: lace; dimensions: height 270 cm, width 25 cm., A horizontal piece of lace or trim with a repeating decorative pattern and fringed edges, shown flat against a neutral background; the lace has openwork sections with looped and knotted designs forming geometric and circular motifs, alternating with tighter mesh bands, and the top and bottom edges have long tasseled fringes. The visible colors are shades of beige and gray.
