The central part is a continuous belt with a geometric ornament; among the motifs is a circle containing an hourglass. The side belts of similar width are permanently connected. The entire belt is trimmed with fringe. 17th/18th century, Poland. Lace, clothing accessories, clothing. Height 270 cm, width 25 cm., A long woven textile strip lies flat against a gray background, showing a central band with a repeating geometric openwork pattern flanked by finer mesh panels and fringed edges; the textile and its fringe appear in shades of tan, beige, and muted gold, with the mesh areas showing slightly darker and lighter variations of those colors, and a small cluster of tan-colored tags or paper pieces rests near one end on top of the fringe.
