A so-called Saxon lace belt, lace belt accessory for men's clothing. The central part is a continuous belt with a geometric ornament; among the motifs is a circle containing an hourglass. The side belts of similar width are permanently connected. The entire belt is trimmed with fringe. 17th–18th century, Poland. Lace, clothing accessory; height 270 cm, width 25 cm., A long horizontal textile band with fringed edges runs across a neutral background; the band shows a central decorative strip flanked by textured panels, all in muted tones of beige, tan, gray, and hints of olive. The fringes at the top and bottom edges are a mix of beige and tan threads. The central strip contains a repeating mosaic of small geometric motifs created by raised stitching in beige and olive against a mottled gray-beige ground. Adjacent panels on either side of the central strip display a fine net-like or lattice texture in pale gray and beige, with subtle variations in thread thickness creating a slightly three-dimensional appearance. The overall color palette is subdued, consisting mainly of beige, tan, gray, and olive, with visible woven and embroidered threadwork and gently irregular edges where the fringe meets the band.
