Chasuble, Chasuble of silk fabric with a fine pattern of stylised floral motifs between gold stripes. Lined with linen. Individual parts separated with gold galloon trim. Background fabric is a simple weave warp celadon, wefts blue, brocaded with silver metal thread with a loose braid on a white silk base. 18th century, Grodno, Poland. Liturgical vestment; length 106 cm, width 66 cm back., A vestment with a rounded lower shape and a V-shaped neckline, made of translucent off-white fabric for the outer sections and a central panel of green patterned fabric with a subtle checker motif, edged and divided by vertical and diagonal bands of golden yellow trim and narrow metallic gold braid, showing faint signs of age and discoloration with areas of pale purple and beige on the outer fabric.
