Double-sided gingerbread mould. Obverse: image of a trumpeter on a horse. Reverse: horse-drawn covered two-wheeled carriage with a driver seated on the box and one horse harnessed. Rectangular wooden mould, double-sided. One side: horseman in a parade uniform from the Napoleonic era playing a trumpet, wearing a long caftan with epaulettes and braid, striped trousers and long boots; horse with decorative row and a saddle decorated with a floral motif; below, an extensive ornament of flowers, leaves and geometric motifs. Other side: covered carriage with driver in a caftan and high hat; below, an extensive ornament of geometric and plant motifs. Edge inscriptions: j. Glauer.1828: No 1 signature of the maker and date and Zum. Andenken. Date: 1828. Region: Province of Silesia 1742–1918. Materials/genre: gingerbread mould; decorative folk motifs, historical costumes, military uniform iconography. Dimensions: height 42.7 cm, width 24.3 cm, depth 3.7 cm., A vertical rectangular block with a dark brown to nearly black surface suspended against a pale grey background, the block showing a worn texture with visible cracks and subtle scratches, slightly rounded corners, and a faint lighter brown edge at the bottom; overall colors visible include dark brown, black, pale grey, and hints of lighter brown.
