Double-sided gingerbread mould. Obverse: image of Madonna and Child; Reverse: small image of Madonna in oval. Double-sided, rectangular form; on one side a figure of Madonna and Child, with a crown on her head, in a long patterned robe decorated with various geometric and plant motifs; the Madonna holds the Child in her left hand and a sword in her right. The other side: a smaller figure of the Madonna in an oval, surrounded by rays, the whole surrounded by a laurel wreath. Gingerbread mould; decorative folk-religious motif. 19th century, Province of Silesia 1742–1918. Height 25.8 cm; width 12 cm; depth 4.5 cm., A rectangular block of dark brown wood with visible grain lines and cracks, suspended against a smooth light gray background; the wood shows worn and slightly rounded corners with small areas of lighter brown where the surface is scuffed.
