Double-sided gingerbread mould. Obverse: image of Madonna and Child; reverse: small image of Madonna in oval. Double-sided, rectangular form; on one side a figure of Madonna and Child, with a crown on her head, in a long patterned robe decorated with various geometric and plant motifs, the Madonna holds the Child in her left hand and a sword in her right; the other side: a smaller figure of the Madonna in an oval, surrounded by rays, the whole surrounded by a laurel wreath. Materials/function: gingerbread mould; iconography: Madonna and Child, wreaths, crown, sword, religious motifs, female figures in rich dresses, folk motifs; decorative art. 19th century, Province of Silesia 1742–1918. Dimensions: height 25.8 cm, width 12 cm, depth 4.5 cm., A rectangular dark brown wooden block with worn edges and visible cracks suspended against a smooth light gray background, showing variations of darker and lighter brown grain and small areas of tan discoloration.
