Origin: Silesia Province of Silesia, 1742–1918. Description: double-sided rectangular mould; one side a rectangular decorative motif containing a rosette and stylised plants; date engraved on the edge: 1806 with the letter S against the background of an anchor mark of the woodcarver or gingerbread maker. Reverse: figure of Archangel Michael in a long patterned robe decorated with a plant twig motif, holding scales in his right hand and a sword in his left; at the feet a geometric-plant ornament. Date: 1806. Form: bas-relief. Dimensions: height 11.6 cm, width 30.5 cm, depth 3 cm., A tall rectangular wooden panel in dark brown with a central recessed rectangular area featuring carved floral and foliate motifs, a stylized rosette-like flower at the center surrounded by flowing leaf shapes and small flower clusters, framed by a carved border with rope-like patterning; the wood shows areas of lighter brown wear and scuffing, subtle variations in grain, and a smooth grey background behind the panel.
