Obverse: three hearts formed from laurel leaves, each containing allegorical/figurative scenes of female figures in a garden among trees — first: standing woman in a long dress holding a wreath beside a small altar draped with a garland; second: seated woman in a long dress leaning on a pedestal with a flying bird to her right; third: seated woman in a dress reading a letter beside a musical instrument zither?. Reverse: six different representations including a heart formed from laurel leaves containing an altar in a garden with a heart pierced by an arrow, a sun above and two birds; decoration also includes a fan and various architectural elements. Gingerbread mould, gingerbread decorative art, folk motifs, hearts, genre scenes, houses/architectural elements, female figures; rectangular double-sided form. 19th century, Province of Silesia 1742–1918. Height 31 cm, width 12.7 cm, depth 3 cm., A rectangular wooden block with carved recessed shapes rests on a smooth light gray surface. The block is brown with visible wood grain and has a slightly darker brown along its edges. On the top face are several carved panels including a heart-shaped recess with a detailed scene, a fan-shaped recess, a rectangular grid pattern, and other geometric and pictorial recesses. The carved areas show variations of brown where the wood is carved deeper, creating subtle shadows. The background is a uniform pale gray that transitions to a slightly darker gray toward the top of the image.
