Double-sided gingerbread mould. Obverse: three laurel-wreathed hearts, each containing a scene of a female figure in a garden among trees — first: standing woman in a long dress holding a wreath beside a small garlanded altar; second: seated woman in a long dress among bushes and flowers, leaning on a pedestal with a flying bird to her right; third: seated woman in a dress reading a letter, next to a musical instrument zither?. Reverse: a laurel-wreathed heart containing an altar in a garden with a heart pierced by an arrow, a sun above, and two birds. Decoration includes a fan and various architectural elements. Gingerbread mould, figurative folk motifs, decorative art; rectangular, double-sided form. 19th century, Province of Silesia 1742–1918. Height 31 cm; width 12.7 cm; depth 3 cm., A rectangular carved wooden panel in brown with a carved heart-shaped design near the top containing decorative elements, a fan-shaped carved motif to the right of center, a vertical rectangular grid-like carved pattern to the left, a textured rectangular area with repeating rounded impressions to the right below center, and a few smaller shield-like and window-like carved shapes near the bottom, all shown against a pale gray background with visible wood grain and slightly worn edges.
