Reverse: scene of a man surrounded by five women and two girls, all in 17th–18th century costumes; the man wearing a justaucorps, culottes and stockings, the women and girls in long patterned dresses with low necklines; German inscription at the bottom: MICH ALTEN MAN / WOLEN IHRER HAHN. Material: gingerbread mould for gingerbread; decorative art, figurative genre scenes, moral satire, plant ornaments;, 19th century; Province of Silesia 1742–1918. Dimensions: height 28 cm, width 17.3 cm, depth 4 cm., A rectangular wooden panel with a carved central relief depicting a group of closely arranged human figures wearing long garments and decorative collars, their faces and hair carved with detailed features and stylized expressions; the figures are clustered in a somewhat triangular composition with a few smaller figures at the lower center and ornamental foliate carvings at their sides; the wood surface shows a warm brown color overall with natural grain, small darker spots and areas of wear, and the background around the carving is plain wood with a slightly lighter brown-gray backdrop visible at the image edges.
