Side A: bison; Side B: three figures—a bachelor in early-19th-century costume hat, justokor, artificial trousers, high boots, a baby in swaddling clothes decorated with a plant twig, and a long-bodied scaled fish. Rectangular wooden mould with engraved date 1806; letter S superimposed on an anchor manufacturer's or maker's mark. Materials: wood; function: form for gingerbread. Style/ motifs: figurative scenes, human figures, zoomorphic motifs, folk art/folk customs, Striding Bull iconography. Dimensions: height 19.5 cm, width 10.5 cm, depth 4.3 cm. Date: 1806. Maker: unknown woodcarver or gingerbread maker., A rectangular block of wood with rounded corners suspended against a smooth light gray background, the wood showing a range of brown tones from light to dark with visible grain patterns, several narrow dark cracks and lines running across its surface, and subtle areas of darker brown staining and wear around the edges.
