Double-sided gingerbread mould. Side A: image of a bachelor; side B: baby in swaddling clothes., woodcarver or gingerbread maker. Double-sided rectangular mould from Silesia Prussia; 1742β1918. On one side: man in a long wig and tricorn hat, dressed in costume probably dating from turn of 17thβ18th centuries β justacor/nicor, with decorative cuffs, culottes, stockings, and high-heeled shoes; decorative floral and geometric motifs at his feet and the date 1827. Other side: baby in swaddling clothes richly decorated with geometric and plant ornament. Inscription on the edge: FW FIEBIGER. a. BAUTZEN. 17 signature of the manufacturer and beginning of the date. Dated 1827. Form. Height 64 cm, width 22.5 cm, depth 4.3 cm., A single vertical rectangular object with a dark gray surface floats against a smooth light gray background; the object shows subtle scratches and small blemishes on its darker face and has slightly lighter worn edges.
