Background weave: warp satin 7/1; pattern: gros de Tours. Preserved selvedge selvedge width 0.8 cm; selvedge threads: white, yellow, green. Motif height 47 cm. Reported overall fragment dimensions: height 101 cm, width 20 cm. Ca. mid-18th century, France attributed., A long horizontal textile strip with a floral damask pattern laid flat against a dark background, showing a repeating design of stylized flowers, leaves, and scroll-like foliage woven into the fabric; the textile has a slightly worn edge on one side and a subtle central fold line, with visible weave textures and areas of light variation across the surface; the dominant color is yellow with lighter and deeper yellow tones creating the pattern, and the background behind the strip appears black.
