Background color: olive; ornament colors: blue, yellow, red, and green. Fringe silver on one side, beige on the other. 18th century, Poland. Length 388.5 cm, width 45.5 cm., The image shows a pair of long, narrow textile panels laid side by side on a pale background, each panel in a warm golden-brown fabric embroidered with intricate decorative motifs in colors including gold, green, red, blue, pink, and white; both panels have a wide embroidered border and internal patterned sections featuring wave-like scallops, rows of narrow horizontal stitches, stylized floral and foliate forms, geometric medallions, and architectural-like ornamental designs, and each panel finishes with a long fringe in shades of gold and silver.
