A unilateral two-tone damask: light red/pink warp satin background, overlays in plain and liseré weaves with a white weft tied in a weft weft-faced weave; reverse in plain weave. Repeat composed of small flowers, fanciful leaves, and miniature lace motifs forming an ornament on the leaves; motifs typical of bizarre fabrics inspired by lace. Fragment no. SZT 79 likely part of the same fabric. Weave structure details: background in warp satin pink warp; subreport areas in plain weave pink warp, pink weft; white weft areas in weft weave; reverse plain weave. Colors: pink background with white decorative pattern. Hem width: 0.4 cm. Repeat report dimensions: length 64.5 cm; width 24.5 cm. Overall dimensions: height 73 cm; width 31 cm. Date: early 18th century, France., A rectangular piece of woven fabric with frayed edges lies flat against a dark background, showing a repeating floral and paisley-like pattern in shades of reddish-brown and light beige; the fabric has areas of wear and small holes, with a few darker brown stains and some visible threadbare patches and repairs.
