A type of two-tone damask in yellow and white. Background: gros de Tours yellow main warp, yellow binding warp; pattern: plain weave white leading wefts, white binding warp. Design: motifs of flowers and large stylized fruit between which are placed fragments of miniature architecture; chinoiserie-type pattern composition. The fruit resembles quinces in shape. Background - yellow, pattern - white. Border width: 0.4 cm. The fabric pattern is characteristic of the period of the 18th century, 1730–1740, France. Height: 40.5 cm, width: 21 cm., A rectangular textile fragment with a mustard yellow background features an ornate off-white floral and fruit pattern showing large stylized blossoms, leaves, and a segmented fruit, with smaller blossoms and foliage filling spaces; a few architectural motifs resembling small pavilion-like structures appear near the edges; the fabric edges are frayed with loose threads visible, and the piece is displayed against a dark background.
