Materials: silk, pseudo-damask; patterned floral and plant motifs; stripes; preserved selvedge, ply width, and pattern repeat., A large rectangular piece of fabric with an overall floral damask pattern showing a repeat of stylized flowers and flowing leaf-like scrolls; the design appears in a muted reddish-brown against a faded beige background, with the beige showing variations in tone and some darker smudges and spots; the fabric edges are visible with a slightly darker border and one corner folded, and there are areas of wear where the beige ground looks more worn and the reddish pattern is less distinct.
