Dense plant composition of finely curved twigs with varied leaves and flowers—delicate, refined, segmented pattern. Arranged in rows with a half-report shift; calyx of dominant flower alternately tilted left or right in the rows. Design repeat report length 24.7 cm × width 13.2 cm. 17th century, Italy. Fabric dimensions: height 110 cm, width 18 cm., A long fabric garment shaped with a deep V neckline and two wide straps, laid flat against a light gray background, showing a repeated ornate floral and scroll pattern in dark purple on a pale grayish-beige base; the fabric edges are slightly frayed in places and the pattern covers the entire visible surface, with the garment splitting into two long panels toward the bottom.
