Textile belt, 19th century, Kraków. Belt made of solid fabric with the Polish Eagle at the ends; sewn on morocco leather, fastened at the back, imitation lacing at the front. Length 86 cm, width 7.5 cm. Associated with Polish clothing: kontusz belts, men's clothing accessories, national costume/fashion accessory; related to 1863–1864 examples., A textile sash laid flat on a pale background, consisting of a central band and two hanging ends with fringes; the sash fabric is primarily mustard yellow with woven stripes in blue and red along the edges and center, and there are areas of faded or worn lighter patches on the hanging sections; one end has a rectangular red leather or fabric piece attached with a metal buckle and a short red strap, and the red piece shows a slightly glossy, textured surface; the hanging ends finish with a group of long, gold-colored fringes.
