Two-piece dress made of silk in the colour of dried rose with motifs of colourful flower bouquets and winding ribbons of white lace. The overskirt manteau is open at the front, with a triple pleat extending almost the entire width of the back, flowing into a train. The bodice is on linen lace with boning, laced at the front. The neckline is deep and square. Narrow, elbow-length set-in sleeves trimmed with ruffles of the same fabric. Neckline and bodice edges trimmed with a pleated ruffle, decorated with multicolored cord trimmings twisted into tiny flowers. No lining. The skirt is gathered with symmetrical pleats, spread out to the sides. Fabric sample: height 24.5 cm, width 48.5 cm; width of fabric piece 54 cm. Date: 1760–1765. Place associated: Silesia; possible origin: France. Length 158 cm., A long skirt displayed on a mannequin, made of a pale pink fabric with a sheen and scattered floral embroidery; the embroidery shows clusters of flowers in shades of red, pink, white, purple, and touches of green for leaves, with decorative white embroidered swirls and motifs woven across the fabric; the hem has a decorative border with similar floral patterns and scalloped trim; the background is a flat light gray and the skirt rests on a dark gray platform.
