Men's vest made of cherry satin, embroidered. Straight cut, sleeveless and collarless. Diagonal hemline, side pockets covered with large flaps, three covered buttons under each flap. Fastened to the neck with 11 covered and embroidered buttons. Floral ornaments. Made in Silesia, 1740–1770. Length 78 cm., provenance includes repossession., A sleeveless garment displayed on a black mannequin torso, made of a shiny deep red fabric with a matte reddish-brown side panel; the red fabric has ornate embroidered floral motifs in a metallic gold thread near the lower and side areas, and there is decorative embroidery along the front edge; the garment shows a smooth satiny texture with some visible folds and seams, and the background is a pale off-white.
