Flaps on the sides, below them 4 buttons as for the fastening, embroidered in gold. The back is made of brown canvas at the top and fabric at the bottom as on the front. 1750s, Silesia, garment, length 76 cm, A sleeveless garment laid flat showing its back side with a central panel of brownish fabric flanked by side panels of a patterned textile; the patterned areas are mainly mauve with pale stripe effects and floral motifs in green and off-white, and there are inner pale beige side linings visible; the lower skirt section shows gathered patterned fabric with the same mauve, green, and off-white floral design, and the neckline and arm openings reveal small sections of the patterned mauve and green fabric against the brown center.
