Vest, Repossession provenance. Floral and plant ornaments; patterned brocaded silk fabric, predominant colors silver, plum, green, and raspberry. Front of brocaded silk; motifs arranged around the edges. Fastened with 12 buttons embroidered with gold threads. No collar. Side flaps with flapped pockets; three buttons under the flaps as for the closure. Back: bottom and sides of fabric as on the front, but cut-out pieces are plain without brocade. Cream silk lining. 1740–1760, England fabric possibly from Silesia. Garment; length 74 cm., An open garment laid flat showing its interior with a central brown fabric panel and inner sleeves of the same brown, surrounded by an off-white or beige lining that extends to the edges; the lining shows visible seams, stitching, and some darker smudges and worn areas, and there are a few small patches where the lining texture differs slightly in tone, with the overall palette consisting of brown, off-white, beige, and subtle hints of gray.
